The Process


My goal is to tailor your session to realize your vision. Let's create something beautiful!


We will take many images together and based upon your selected session details, I will choose the best images and hand edit them for your online digital gallery. Many sessions take place outdoors, but studio lighting and classic gray/white/pecan backdrops are also available. Your session fee includes a print release, high resolution digital images displayed in an online gallery, and the option to buy prints from a professional lab. Turn around time for your gallery is typically 2-4 weeks.

Do you shoot weddings?

At this time, I focus mainly on family, children, seniors in high school, and pets.

Where do you hold sessions?

I am available in the Traverse City, Acme, Elk Rapids, Kalkaska, Mancelona, and Gaylord areas. Travel over 50 miles is charged at $1.00 per additional mile.

Can I extend the session on the day of?

Mini session time slots may not be extended. If a session is running over the contracted end time, it will depend on the photographer's schedule and available light, as to whether the session can continue longer than scheduled.

What kind of gear do you use?

I use a Nikon brand camera and lenses.

Do I have to order prints through you?

You do not have to order prints through Alicia Erickson Photography. Session fees include a specified number of digital images via an online gallery. You will have the opportunity to order prints through a professional lab if you choose. Photo labs at chain stores do not always print with correct color or optimal sharpness. It is suggested to order prints through a professional lab.
